An utopian road film in which two young friends leave Tel Aviv and embark on a backpacking trip through the neighboring state of Palestine, about five years after it has gained independence. Upon their arrival they are greeted with love and smiles by children holding balloons, but they soon discover that the young nation is dealing with some growing pains.
